Alberta Premier Alison Redford, the Alberta Food Processors Association and Canada Safeway officially launched the "BUY ALBERTA" program in Safeway stores December 5, 2012. Over 1,800 products in Safeway stores across Alberta will be highlighted through "BUY ALBERTA" signs throughout the 86 grocery and 10 liquor stores. Thank you Safeway customers for supporting locally grown and locally processed Alberta Foods!

December 5, 2012 played host to the launch of a new campaign called BUY ALBERTA. A collaboration between The Alberta Food Processors Association, Safeway Canada, and The Government of Alberta, this campaign's key goal is to promote the purchasing and consumption of Alberta products in Safeway stores. To do so, labeling has been added to 1800 items within Safeway stores, that allows shoppers to easily identify which products are made in Alberta. This video captures the campaign launch which was held in the Kinnikinnicks Factory (one of North Americas largest gluten free producers and based out of Edmonton, AB).
